I’m a woman, a Witch, a teacher, a priestess, a feminist, a reader and a writer. I write with a dip pen for the fun of it, I keep my Book of Shadows on my computer, and my Zippo is consecrated as a sacred flame of Brigid.
I offer several kinds of services, including Tarot and other divination, Reiki, and trance journey healing. I work both in person in the central Ohio area and remotely, including offering workshops online through Sycamore School.
I also conduct legal marriages and other life-cycle rituals, including baby blessings, coming-of-age rituals, and funerals and memorials, and I’m available for hospital visitation, individual counseling, and mentoring.
I edited Crossing the River: An Anthology in Honor of Sacred Journeys. My rituals, poetry, and nonfiction have also been published in Mandragora, Queen of the Sacred Way, Anointed, Unto Herself, The Scribing Ibis, and Rooted in the Body, Seeking the Soul, as well as the periodicals Witches and Pagans, Eternal Haunted Summer, American Tarot Association Quarterly, and CIRCLE Magazine. I have presented at Sacred Space Conference, Fertile Ground Gathering, and several Pagan Pride Days in the mid-Atlantic area.
I enjoy developing poetry and rituals for devotion and worship in order to cultivate a relationship with deity. Some of that writing is shared here, and a lot of my thoughts on devotion and worship, as well as my experiences connecting to nature and deity. I also muse about politics and systems of thought, especially ones relating to my beliefs and practices, with occasional commentary on the news and social issues.
One of my other specialties on this blog is book reviews that try to reflect the content and possibilities of a book, not just my personal opinion of it. I try to write these reviews to help other people sort through which books they’d really like to read and which ones they can skip.
When I’m not involved with any of the above, I’m working with my local group of witches, gardening, listening to Celtic music, or reading voraciously.
